Another reason may be the fact that a lot of devs take out features from part one but add new ones to part 2.
For example:In Star Wars Battlefront you could go prone on your belly. BF 2 had playable heroes and no Prone. Smackdown vs Raw games always take out good features and add good features each year.
I know those games arent considered classic, but a lot of games now a days do that. Take out something good, add something good.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
