This is all true, the problem is many people over exagerating the situation and making it look like it was truly doomed, i dont think the actual doom period of the wii will end with all the great titles coming between 2008 and 2009, then there is a chance it resurface again depending of the success of the Natal and the Sony Wand, whoever wins that motion controller duel will lead the other 2 consoles to a doom state inmediatly, but it will take months to know the winner, and it all depends on sony or microsoft being capable of having a big userbase for their new controllers
Wii already won this generation anyway, and im sure Nintendo will have a nice performance on the next one
