So when does Final Fantasy X pick up a little bit?

I think its the most emotional, involved story in any game I've played. Why is FF X getting so much hate in this thread?

I assume that I haven't gotten to the really emotional, involved part.

@Kenryoku: Generally if I just want a really fun RPG I'd play a Dragon Quest. I found DQIV's funny accents amusing and charming, an enhancement to my experience.

That shit was awesome. The stuff in FFX is not enhancing my experience so far, and I can't ignore it.

Soundtrack is still by and large gorgeous, I grant.

It's only sad if you like the characters and I found it impossible to like Tidus and Yuna could be likeable assuming you just pretend the terrible dialogue is due to translation and ignore the voice acting.

I liked Tidus and Yuna but that may be because I am a teenager myself.
