did you get rid of your cat for your wife? :( |
Two cats even!
First cat I got in college and she was awesome. Years later I moved in with my wife (then girlfriend) and it turns out my cat hated her (she actually hated most girls that were anywhere close to me or another one of my old roommates). Unfortunately had to choose between the cat or the then girlfriend since she didn't enjoy having her clothes peed on and stuff ripped to shreds.
Second cat I had to get rid of was actually my brothers cat that was also awesome. He had to get rid of her because his kid developed alergies to the cat and it didn't play nice with the new baby all the time. I was able to take the cat because I was living on my own (the wife and I were fine, I just had to move closer to school and the wife moved in with her parents to save money and we were still minutes from each other). When we moved back in with each other in my new condo, there wasn't a great place for the litter box and it was nice brand new wood floors so we had to give the cat to the parents.
One day though, I'll get a cat again, just when we have room. Also on the list of pets to get is a dog but definately can't get one of those until I have a proper yard. My parents raise and breed working Australian Shepards so I won't get some worthless little dog (sorry to the above person that posted one, it's cute but not for me), I want an actual dog. Australian Shepards = awesome.
