PLEASE, JUST TO MAKE CLEAR:
There are TWO types of 3D TV´s + PS# solutions:
1)Aditional glasses that do the interchange/imageflipping very fast and normaly this is the cheapest one, due to any user just buy the Glasses and can still use the current TV and PS3...
2)The TV has a layer that supports 3D, so, there´s no need for glasses and the technology is a way diferent from the glasses technology, so, it´s not possible to program something to work "out of the box" for both technologies.
SONY will deliver BOTH technologies, BUT for different audiences...
HOME Entertainment will be feeded by 3D glasses... and 3D TV´s will be for merchandise and market usage, ´cause it´s resolution isn´t sooo nice and stays cool in big screens and in long distance, a lot more distance is needed..
Do a research at the Network, you will find "PHILIPS 3D TV" and "3D Glasses".
