Nintendo not reacting to the massive YoY decrease the Wii got and not changing the projections to a reachable estimate. I'm honestly surprised they aren't doing anything to keep sales up, or at least so far things haven't gone as planned.

I believe they are making the same mistake they made last year, which was only relying in 2 games for the whole FY Q3/Q4 periods (October - March). They have been releaseing less and less games each year since 2007, this year hitting an all time low of 4 new games only in the USA. (Wii Fit+ is not really a new game, it's basically the same game with some new activities, that's why it costs 20 bucks).

Hopefully they will change their strategy by next year, because making the same mistake 2 consecutive times was really unexpected for a company like Nintendo, and they are paying it with an almost 4 million FY over FY decrease that will most probably grow through March (next FY).

But don't you think sony made the same thing? Nintendo has just 3 conference for year, they'll never announce something outside those. Do you think that if they want to do something they'll do it now, outside of any big conference and just after the other 2 big's moves? Their last conference was E3, there they've done very good things, especially about software. You can't say they did things wrong for two years, they have one conference left, and it's the biggest for them. If they'll not show something big, i agree with you, but now i think they are just waiting for the conference, and just sending little messages like the Black Wii (which is obvious, but will not be enaugh, i know).
