- Sony players bashing 360 lineup = check
- PC rules all = check
- PC is a console, so exclusivity on 360 is nil = check
- Arguments over "triple A" versus sales = check

Might be missing some anti-Nintendo talk, and the requisite rebuttals, but otherwise think we've covered all the bases here!

On topic, all personal opinion, exclusive or not my purchases for end of year are all 360 (Forza, ODST, L4Dead 2, Dragon Age Origins) save one (Uncharted 2, pending demo of multiplayer end of month). EVEN if I hadn't bought a 360 game this year (I have) that would still be a pretty good year for me.

PC is a platform...not a console buddy.

That still makes a game on PS3/PC or 360/PC a multiplat.

It may be on two different platforms, but it is a console exclusive.

No, its a PC exclusive.

The PC stands alone. It isn't a videogame console. You have to rig a PC to be optimal enough for the games you want. Out of the big three consoles, the Xbox 360 is the only console that has it. The PC is in its own world.

It's still a multiplatform PC exclusive.

Do you know how moronic this is? It is exclusive to both Multiplatform, but is truly exclusive to the 360 because other platforms in its form cannot attain it. PC stands on its own. Most PC games are exclusives, and since when have they ever counted for anything when it comes to consoles? Final Fantasy VII was a console exclusive to the PSX. Are you going to strip that game of exclusivity because you fail to notice that PC isn't a videogame console? The exclusivity truly belongs to both platforms. You are showing brute ignorance. Why don't you just go and argue with TV commercials and banners for the 360 for games like Left 4 Dead 2 tell you Xbox 360/PC exclusive. On consoles it is exclusive to the 360 and on the PC it is exclusive, since it has nothing to battle against. I am done with this.

FF7 was multiplat... is was also on PC.

A game that is on 2 platforms... is multiplat.

I can play say... Mass Effect 2, on 2 different platforms. Hence, it is multiplat.

I dont get how you can call a game a 360 console exclusive, but im not allowed to call a game a PC exclusive. Double standards?

@themanwithnoname. No, i just hate this entire console "exclusive" bullshit.

It's because the PC version doesn't affect the console version. And before you say, well my sale is lost because I'll buy on PC. That is honestly not the case generally. In fact look at the dismal PC sales of a game on both and it's very clear that maybe 2000 sales at the most would be lost for the 360 version being on PC also? Look at COD4. It was embarrasing for PC in sales.

Just thought I'd get in my 2 cents. If what you say is true then why would Microsoft bother saying and making Alan Wake completely exclusive for 360. Why haven't they brought out Halo 3, Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 out for PC? Why did they wait 6 months before they released Mass Effect on PC. This is especially important for PC centric markets. Saying the PC version doesn't affect the console version is bullshit if they're released at the sametime. Microsoft have recognised this, which is why these games are now true and complete exclusives.

You're also forgetting that if certain people can get a version on PC vs console... they'll pirate the PC version and get it for "free". This is the reason EA released Mirror's Edge on consoles before PC, even though it works a lot better with the precision of the mouse.

Finally, the FF7 case is a case of 'timed' exclusivity, which is why most feel it can be called exclusive, because for a significant amount of time (in which it had huge sales) it was. The same could be said of the Halo games. If they were released at the sametime, then arguably, they'd have had less sales on the console (especially in the case of Halo where FPS games are popular on PC). Oh, and MS get more money from console versions due to licensing fees. They get no money on the PC version unless they're the publisher.

Dude seriously look at the sales. It tells all. They release it first on consoles mainly because thats where the sales come from. They put most effort to getting the console version done on time and then bring PC later. They see the same sales we do, so there is no way they release it later because of sales. LOL

Alan Wake went exclusive because M$ wanted Remedy to get the most out of the 360 game graphically. It must of worked to, because there are some graphics whores who dont believe the 360 is that strong for graphics calling certain screenshots PC screenshots. Even though it's confirmed as 360 screen. If you put all resources into a game for the major selling platform first, you will get better return.
