1. All pre-order games should be a collectors edition _and_ knock off an additional $5 off the price of the collectors edition. If a game isn't going to have a collectors edition then the game probably doesn't deserve a pre-order.

2. Really? We should get reduced prices automatically, all those 59.99 games should turn into 49.99 or 54.99. Will we? I dunno. But it won't have anything to do with gamestop or best buy. The more we get to a full digital model the more we will see a wide range of priced games. The developers themselves will be competition enough for cheep games.
3. I'm not a specific console fanboy, though I am biased against the Wii (just don't like the controller for most of the genres I play). I am however, heavily biased _for_ exclusive games. Time and time again multi-plat games have ended up being subpar on one of the consoles. If they can't get all the games equal (the Wii version can be different, by making a good alternative look, but the features should be almost exact across all versions) then they shouldn't do multi-plat at all.
4. Most of the time these collectibles end up giving you a special item or ability at the end (at least most of the time for me), so I don't see a problem there. I do agree collecting just for the sake of collecting is a bumb feature.
5. Yes and No. I sometimes buy used games instead of the new copy merely because they are there. Some people would buy new if there were no used, some would not buy at all until the price dropped (just like console price btw). So yeah I think game prices should probably start at $5 to $10 lower, they should definitely drop in price over time, but that wont magically mean games will make a profit (it might even make it harder). Used sales DO indeed eat into new sales, its just a given.
6. No argument here. A long ass series of logo credits (just like movies) suck. They need to do some consolidation, or add credits in the start screen menu, or put the logos on the start screen.
7. Its a factor of over saturation. Storyline is the only place left to differentiate shooters these days (something FPS games have been loath to do for so long) so its no surprise that some developers are using these gimmicks to help with that differentiation.
8. This gen... has been different. The clear winner this gen is not HD, doesn't have >50% of the market, and thus far isn't even really in competition with the other two consoles. If you look squarely at just the HD consoles you see a market in transition (aside from the obvious motion control (Wii) vs traditional controller (HD) transition). I don't necessarily buy that there's not enough differentiation, but I would like to see exclusives.
9. Whiners be damned. Though I still reserve the right to grip about multi-plats. ;)
