Meh. ATI cards always get too hot.

Compared to their price and performance competition, they are not.

Also they will be on a mature 40nm process while Nvidia is on 55nm. So they should be cooler than this even.

The last card on that list is enough to sway me away from ATI. I don't need to boil water with my GPU, thanks.

Do you even know what crossfire is? multiple cards. A single card is a lot cooler as you can see. And why do you care so much about heat? ATi cards work fine until 125 degrees, you'd have to try REAL hard to get such a temp.

I know what crossfire is Same thing as SLi.

I care about heat because when gaming, I don't want my bedroom to heat up to intolerable levels within an hour. My 8800GT maxes out at 80C and still makes my bedroom waaaay too hot. 125 degrees is insane, and with that amount of heat (if ever reached), other components would undoubtedly suffer.

Well as you can see on that chart most ATI cards dont even reach 80, let alone 125. So I wouldnt worry too much about it :)
