How long before the mainstream media picks up on this? The US is a fairly conservative place when it comes to homosexuality, this could potentially negatively impact sales in certain regions of the country considering it's a family/children's game. It could even become a news story in other English-speaking countries (UK, Australia). Maybe it won't matter at all, but why take the chance?
Since this had already been revealed long ago, why wouldn't Nintendo change it to avoid the controversy? That would have taken about five minutes: just change the flashes on GALAXY from GAY to GLY, the spacing still works and the problem is solved.
