Kirk Cameron, how low you've sunk. I like their section that "proves" evolution is wrong.
They spend the first five minutes or more interviewing 3 laymen, presumably college students, IN DEPTH on how life began on Earth, what it was like when it emerged from the ocean, what man might have evolved from, etc. One does pretty poorly, one doesn't know much but knows his limits, and one does pretty well. Every time they say "maybe", "probably", "possibly", "I don't know", or "I'm not an expert" gets counted against them. Then they start the real show. I've paraphrased what he said in the next two paragraphs.
'Evolution says that everything evolved from one-celled animals into all the animals we have today. But that would mean that there would have to be thousands of animals connecting one animal to another. But there are huge gaps in [the fossil record]. These are known as the missing links.
'You know all those pictures that the books on evolution show, with drawings of monkey-like creatures that straighten up and become manlike? Those are only pictures. In fact, there is nothing in between the monkey and humans. There is no missing link.'
He gives examples of false missing links, such as: "Neanderthal man was actually the skull of an old man who suffered from arthiritis. Hardly scientific proof." Really? All 400 Neanderthals whose remains have been found were actually one Frenchman with arthiritis?
Then he makes faces and cuts to a chimpanzee making the same faces. "Does this prove that man evolved? No, not at all."
Then they say that since evolution says that "apes are our relatives" they're going to try to book an airline flight with their relative the chimpanzee. Cue a minute or two of them not getting their ticket.
Then, since "some evolutionists claim that apes are just about as intelligent as humans", they take him out to lunch. He likes their lunch better than his own, so they swap. I would say that the table manners are about as good as that of a small child who is not under tight control and can't use tableware.
Then the video stopped. I don't know if it was actually over, but I frankly don't care anymore. |
