When will the final fantasies series end?

You mean in sales or the total # of games created?

The similarities in these franchises are there, both are HUGE and both excite people about buying consoles. Why should franchises like these be "killed off"?

Killed off is a bit too much.

 

Just wanna know when they will give up on Final Fantasy.

Not sure, but considering how much media buzz the franchise gets just over a mere screenshot of one of their upcoming games, I doubt the end is anywhere in sight...

So let's say... 2-3 Generations from now sounds plausible?
