Oh Michael Moore. He really does love to stir the pot. I'm sure there is some backing to this but I really not to excited when completely one sided people such as him do things like this. Just hard to really get a good premise with all the spin. It's like if O'Reilly were to make a movie.
However I would say Capitalism is more of a love story with the people rather than government and business. It's something all Americans can't stand yet we cherish the ideology as our own. Given most of America's complaints about big business, controlling of monopolies, job insurance, competitive wages, etc... and all of this being asked of the government, I'm pretty sure they would be more content of a system that didn't follow laizzes-faire capitalism so strongly as described by Adam Smith in the Wealth of Nations.
But of course the political culture around the free market is so saturated over time that it is almost seen as un-American to do other wise. Thus it's quite a love story with the ideology yet a complete hatred towards everything it brings. Almost the same thing really with liberties. Americans want their liberties and freedoms guaranteed yet would so easily give it up to the government for security such as after 9-11 for the better of the nation. Of course the mentality of the country after that was very nationalistic and very close to fascism on some of the extremes but of course suggesting that American actions are so far from the ideology doesn't fair to well in this country.
The main issue comes from most Americans being moderates and not liberals (called libertarians now as the definitions have changed) like the founding fathers.
So although I'm sure he's got a good premise and point to make out of all this I doubt it'll really cover things he could actually get deep into and essentially make it a one-sided hate fest. Maybe I should do things like this just to make the point for them haha. Oh well I suppose. But most probably know my opinions of such extremes like Michael Moore. They are good for portraying their side but as someone who can see through all the BS and spin, they don't do much for me.
