I don't know about that. The cell may be more capable of physics calculations, but that doesn't automatically mean that its engine is the best. Since Turn 10 has access to that crazy F1 simulator that suggests that the engine will be more robust for F3. What the xbox manages to do with it remains to be seen, so the safest course of action remains, as always, to wait and see.
Early indications are that both games have pretty visuals and reasonably advanced simulation models, so for single console owners they are pretty good substitutes for each other. I just don't see 360 owners going out and buying a PS3 to play GT5, or the other way around. GT5 sales will most likely be higher due to the legacy of the franchise, but I think that F3 will still perform adequately.
