Naruto: Rise of a Ninja is an exclusive XBox 360 title coming out October 30th. The title is an action-adventure title created by Ubisoft Montreal. While based mostly on fighting and adventure, the game also features RPG elements for a deeper level of customization. The story follows the first eighty episodes of the show, centering on Naruto Uzumaki, a young boy determined to become the greatest ninja in his village.
For those who don't care about spoilers or already know, the eighty episodes cover roughly up until the Third Hokage's death.
In addition to the main single player adventure, the game will also feature an online multiplayer fighting game. The fighting seems to be relatively similar to the Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen (Clash of the Ninja US) games for the Gamecube. They differ in chakra building (it is a set of bars that you must build on your own in this game) and supers. While in the Gamecube game, once a super move has connected to you, you had to take the hit, Rise of the Ninja allows you to escape the moves and requires the performing player to perform actions that make their moves connect. For example, if Neji uses his super move, the 64 Palms, on Naruto, the player using Neji must actually aim for the chakra points while the player using Naruto does their best to dodge.
