The fact this website was on something like Drawn Together suddenly makes me think it's a joke. |
Not a joke, well at least not one Drawn Together did.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirk_Cameron
"(Kirk) Cameron currently partners with fellow evangelist Ray Comfort in training Christians in evangelism. The two have a ministry together called The Way of the Master, which includes a television/video series, a multimedia website, and a live daily radio show The Way of the Master Radio Show with Minnesota talk show host Todd Friel."
Fairly certain it's even Mike Seaver's voice on the website.
@sqrl
I'm shocked to see someone else use the term "organized religion" as I've been the only person I've known to say it. (I know very few people though =P) I've always used it summarize my personal beef with religion. When it's not enough to simply have beliefs and you need reassurance, it usually leads to the production of symbols, rituals, and rigid ideologies doctrines all for the purpose of conversion and purification of other people just to reassure one group they can't be wrong if enough people believe it. The mere suggestion of change to a religious mindset is often labeled as hearsay which usually leads to formation of numerous sub-sects because of the afore mentioned rigid ideological doctrines. You aren’t allowed to question to rules, so start a slightly different offshoot of the same religion.
If someone wants to go worship a tree in his backyard, that’s his damn business. If that same someone rectifies uncertainty in his personal beliefs regarding his tree god by trade marking a symbol to brand posters and pamphlets he plans to harass everyone else in town with, I’ve got a problem then.
Wonder if there’s anything else I agree with sqrl on. Was it you who said they loved Conker’s Bad Fur Day and just couldn’t get excited for Mass Effect? Because I love Conker’s Bad Fur Day and just can’t get excited for Mass Effect. Or am I mixing you up with HappySqurriel?
