@GooseGaws:
I agree to an extent, but there is no need to compare it to dvd...It doesn't need to be near as successful as dvd to be a very profitable industry or considered a success. Eitherway, as ps3's continue to sell, blu-ray just becomes that more entrenched. We may even see two formats split the market--it is a possiblity.
Also if we DO want to compare it to DVD (which as I said, I don't think there is a need), 300 sold very well on blu-ray---quite a milestone actually--over 300,000 copies as of now, which is much faster adoption than any early release dvd ever had. Blu-ray has actually taken off faster than dvd did in its time.
Eitherway, I don't think a "CLEAR" winner will be determined until 2009...by which time, blu-ray will be entrenched worldwide...and possibly HD-DVD.
Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.
Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)
