Selnor, the car number was bumped to 1000+ (small plus) by official channels. (Not that it really matters except if there are some really special cars in there). Resolution, schmezolution, whatever. Head tracking? Hmm...not convinced. Official license to me sounds like the cars will be as true to real life as possible (or alternatively, as the vendors want them to be). In that sense, GT is the official racing game for all the vendors that have cars in it. The technology argument might be true seing as they have access to the billion dollar simulator, but there lies the deception. The Xbox360 is not a billion dolar simulator (as far as simulators go, the PS3 is a more capable machine). Plus, Turn 10 is rushing this only 2 years after Forza 2. PD had much more time to refine things. PD also had an online beta of sorts, going on for years now (GT5P). The online modes for GT5 we don't know yet about, the tire deformation and all that tricky part we don't know yet about, the extent of the damage modelling on those 170 cars that will have it we don't know yet about and so on. Just because Turn 10 was more forthcoming with their features means nothing, as PD always were tight lipped. Having said all that, I have high hopes for GT5, and I might be disappointed.

We will just have to wait for TGS 2009 so we can confirm what these features are in more detail.
PD even promised of a major "advancement" which will be showed in TGS.
It will be interesting to see what PD has up its sleeves for Gran Turismo 5.
With this said i wish all the best for Team Forza for the October release of FM3.
And i'm very optimistic xD
