Come on, to call them supply constrained is an out and out lie. I've been to at least a dozen stores in march, including the Sony store in Manhattan, and they all not only had ps3s but an insane amount of them. My local Costco has at least 50 of them next to a giant pile of x360s. You can't tell me that somewhere in texas they sold out and people are marching in the streets damanding more when every store I go to in Jersey and New York has more then a dozen in stock.(and yes I ask the question everywhere I go, how many ps3s how many wiis, and they never have Wiis.)

And Kwaad you like to quote itrackr.com all the time for the Wii, yet I notice you don't mention the 93% availability of the ps3. Even if there was a store out of stock of the ps3, there is no way there isn't another store within 5 miles of that one that doesn't have one. Meaning that every single person that wanted a ps3 in March got one.

Secondly Kwaad what is the point of Sony saying they are constrained if they are not selling out in the stores? If the stores aren't selling out, the stores aren't demanding more, therefore there is no rush in getting them out, and if they are self inflicting this constraint then you can accuse them of what everyone accused MS of doing shipping excess systems to boost the shipment numbers.

Honestly I don't see why they had to go on about this bogus ordeal I think they should be more honest yet positive. They could have easily boasted ps2 numbers, psp numbers, and exclaimed ps2 has done well because of great response to the god of war franchise, ps3s numbers are low only because some the franchises Sony fans hold so dear had to be delayed to ensure the best possible quality at launch, we're sure system sales will reflect this in the coming months.

Otherwise no one is going to believe their silly excuses.
