Why doesn't Microsoft ever redesign it's consoles?

360 Power Brick = 40 mm x 117 mm x 72 mm = 336 960 mm  Cubed.

Together = 6 953 886 mm Cubed.

 

PS3 Fat = 325 mm x 98 mm x 274 mm = 8 726 900 mm Cubed.(Remember, the consoles dimensions are measured from it's thickest areas, when taken into consideration, PS3 measures at around 7 000 000 mm Cubed.)

 

PS3 Slim = 290 mm X 65 mm X 290 mm = 5 466 500 mm  Cubed.(Remember, the consoles dimensions are measured from it's thickest areas, when taken into consideration, PS3 slim measures at around 4 700 000 mm Cubed.)

 

So they are "BASICALLY" around the same size right?

 

PS3 fat and 360 normal take up "BASICALLY" the same volume, PS3 slim is around 25% smaller then 360, and a wooping 30% smaller then PS3. Though you could factor in Power Brick and PS3 slim is 30% smaller then 360. Or you could also factor in and take consoles at actual dimensions, meaning PS3 slim would be 40-45% smaller then PS3 fat.
