Aion said: Yeah 360 does have the best rpg's than any other system. I can't wait for next year strong line up. |
I seriously hope you're joking

If he means JRPG lineup he is right and you can't deny it (PC literally doesn't get any JRPG's) but PC has very great WRPG lineup. Even better than X360.
|
What great WRPG lineup does the PC have then? It gets almost everything the 360 has but the same can be said the other way around. It just doesn't have Fable 2 and 3 but I can't think of any PC exclusive musthave WRPG because if they are that big then the devs probably got the greenlight for a 360 version aswell. Unless your counting MMORPG but imo that is a different genre because it targets a different kind of gamer.

MMORPG is not a different genre... it's a sub-genre of the RPG genre.
And you got to be kidding if you actually think Xbox 360 has a WRPG lineup anywhere near as good as PC has in 2010. Diablo III and Guild Wars 2, to Mount & Blade's expansion, and Drakensang: The River of Time...
Xbox 360 only has Fable 3, which is instantly crushed by Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2.

You got to admit that isn't a lot more then the 360 so I'll say they are very close together and it just depends on which exclusives you prefer. I liked the first Guildwars but the second one will be a lot more MMO then the first and on top of that it feels more like a asian RPG then a WRPG in both gameplay and style. Diablo 3 I couldn't care less for but it is vallidfor now atleast because I have a feeling that a 360 and PS3 version will come out after the PC version. But Mount & Blade is the only WRPG you mentioned that I care for on the PC, luckily I could play the original on an old PC so it doesn't require a gaming PC so anyone with a console can play it on their regular computer.
|
Actually it is alot more than the Xbox 360 has. PC has exclusive access to the 2 biggest WRPGs of 2010 (Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2) and 2 recent and successul IPs (M&B and Drakensang), not counting the probable dozens of smaller PC RPGs in 2010.
And when we include MMORPGs (which is now by far the biggest subgenre in RPG), then PC easily crushes all 3 consoles combined.
Not close at all.

Now your just repeating what you already said, and like a said Diable 3 is very vallid but I expect that to come to PS3 and 360. Not that that counts for my argument ofcourse, but like I said Guildwars isn't a WRPG not in gameplay or style. I don't think it's even made in the western part of the world. And what's left is 3 games which like I said isn't a lot more then on the 360 so for a console the 360 has an incredible WRPG line up with. And not to forget the console WRPG like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 and exclusives like Fable 2/3. That's why i think it's not hard to consider The PC and the 360 toe to toe for having the best WRPG list, it's just the question ''what do you like more Fable or Diablo?''. And if you like JRPG aswell then the 360 is the best platform on the market for RPG in general but that's besides the point. This is really the only point where I think the 360 si worth defending, it's the reason why I got a 360 instead of a gaming PC and I still stand by my decision.
