Wait a few weeks, there are new (much faster) graphics cards and you can get Core i7 performance cheaper with Lynnfield. And Windows 7.
But if you must have one now I can spec you an awesome gaming PC (will play almost all games except Crysis on High to Max settings at 1600x1200) for under $500. Probably $450.
