As said, FFXIII and GT5 both hitting in 2009 would give it a good chance.
I think the biggest success for Sony though is it's marketing now, they really have in my opinion started marketing the PS3 successfully. I see the thing every shop I go to that sells video games, and the ad campaigns don't contain scary babies anymore - they actually sell the product for what it does well.
If Sony keep the marketing up they'll have a very good Christmas, and I'd imagine sales would continue strong well beyond then.
