You should go with an i7 920 D0 Stepping with watercooling, an eVGA x58 Classified mother board, some 1000W PSU, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, SSDs or Velociraptor in RAID0 or just some normal 7200 RPM 1TB in RAID0 too. And you could do a SLI of GTX 285 or just take the GTX295 (or SLI the GTX295 if you want). All that, plus a case and shipping and a 25.5-26" monitor should cost you about 2700-2800$ (with taxes and shipping) and performance-wise, beats the living crap out of that 3300$ PC you are currently looking for. |
I'm thinking he wants a no hassle, already built All-In-One computer with customer support and no installing Windows trouble.
It's the All-in-One option that makes it so expensive, a normal desktop would be much cheaper from Sony, Dell, or HP with comparable specs.
