We do not require a ground in which to call somebody anything. As for an explanation, I have given plenty.

That's one way to look at it, but you're missing an important point.
They're giving us a service and to obtain that service they gave a condition.

By your analogy they're the equivalent of a person telling you not to j-walk for a prize, yet you do j-walk but still take the reward and hurl insults at him for trying to tell you.

They asked you to buy a game to be able to use their free service.
That is not moral superiority, that's common courtesy.

Indeed we don't need a ground to call somebody anything, but it is proper to have one.
I can call just about anybody an asshole or a whore, but I do not have the grounds to do so unless they've done something that justifies such name calling.
