I think you mean giving a txt file translation, complete with a software that will replace japanese text on a raw manga with the text file... The level of inconvenience involved in your analogy is a bit too different ;p

I think they're quite similar in a lot of sense, though.

And true... I know how it feels living in a country where it makes no sense to buy a non-pirated game =(
