Well I fucking hate contact lenses because they'll eventually go dry, but they're nothing to be afraid of. IDK about hard ones, but soft ones your finger doesn't even touch the eye, and it's just the really soft and liquidy lens that touches it. You don't feel anything. It sounds scary when you describe it, but even when I first put them on, I didn't really feel scared, just clumsy.
