With a Wii, I was able to dump my Gamecube. With a 360, I was able to play all of the good Xbox games that I missed (most of them, anyway). With a BC PS3, I can play all of my PS2 games. With my DS and DS Lite, I can play most GBA games.
The PS2 had a better library (imo) than anything else, last gen. Having it all upscaled and in one box was a big deal, to me. With the above mentioned consoles (and a Dreamcast), the entire 6th AND 7th gen of gaming is right there. Take out the BC from the PS3, and a huge piece of the pie is missing.
