I rememeber the first time I wore glasses ever since like... 14? 15? I think the start of High school. Up until then I was so stubborn not to wear glasses, I was much more rowdy and stuff, doing wrestling in middle school, getting into fights, caring about getting strong.
When high school started I began to focus more on studies, and I realized, since I was so fucking short, that no matter what I'll never be the strongest man alive (or at least kid in the school).
And wow, I remember the drive back home. Heading through the pathway towards Princeton, forgot what it's called. It's like this straight road with trees lined up left and right, and the leaves were falling and I could actually see every single petal. I could see the roads, the little cracks, the chips and cubes of stone. I could see the pores on my dad's face, every little hair.
You guys might be making fun of the OP and treating vision like a trivial, granted thing, but even today I could just stare at the world in awe, as if I was watching a HD movie. I wouldn't have been able to fully appreciate my first HD game's, GTA IV, graphics without my glasses. Without my glasses I would have just seen some muddy, boring world.
