The BR vs DVD issue has clearly had a small (in my view) impact on the final design, supplied languages, etc. - but I really feel it's not massive and something that people are just going to have to live with.
I doubt the visuals have been changed much, my understanding early shots were target renders while newer shots are in-game. Sure, an exclusive game will tend to look better than mult-platform, but in this case I think it's obvious the game is going to be a damn good looking multi-platform.
I'm a live and let live kind of guy, and am happy to see some small compromises to get a good game to a bigger audience - even if some of them are annoying fanboys (both sides).
Mind you, DVD vs BR issues better not affect Rage...
