I listen to plenty of Sabbath and Dio, just through other means because I'm too broke to buy CDs in bulk like I used to.
And yes, I have this strange need to always by the CD. I have over 50 CDs.
@Twesterm: Dark Passion Play showcases there some one newer sound, with a new vocalist. Their older sound was generally les symphonic, incorporating more synthesizers instead. It also featured a more opratic vocalist, the lovely Tarja Turinen. Of course, their album just prior to Dark Passion Play, called Once, shows off the best of Nightwish, joining the voice of Tarja with a full symphony, resulting in songs like this (ignore the Warhammer stuff):
Kamelot are also an excellent band, though more progressive. The Black Halo and Ghost Opera are two must have albums.
