I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree. They sound absolutely nothing like No Doubt. Early No Doubt ESPECIALLY. There isn't a single thing about Paramore's sound that resembles ska.

Really depends on the No Doubt album. I think that their bit in between Tragic Kingdom and Return of Saturn was more punk-ish like Paramore:

 

I think No Doubt's best albums were during that Self-Titled- Beacon Street Collection - Tragic Kingdom era. On the basis of those 3 albums, I still really really like them. But if all they had was some of the newer stuff, I probably wouldn't have been hooked.

I give them lots and LOTS of credit for experimenting with new sounds and evolving their music. It gives each album a marked identity and personality.
