I read recently on a forum somewhere (most likely here) that there were a few games coming out for the DS that focused on teaching people Spanish and French. This got me to thinking... what other titles could be made that would help students of other subjects.
I personaly would like to see a game cart focused on teaching people math skills and perhaps even science, grammer, spelling ect.
I know alot of this has been done many times before on other platforms (and currently being done on the DS in Japan) but I feel like the technology of the handhelds have just reached the point where you could learn effectively just about any subject.
I was thinking how great it would be if I could buy a video Game that would aide me in learning Calculus. (I kind of want to self teach myself it before I take it next year) And that got me to thinking about how awesome it would be if I had a video game cart for each subject that I had a college course in. I realize the market for this is probably little to none out side of educational circles. Honestly though, how many of you would be floored if one of the requirements for your algebra class was a Nintendo DS with a tutoring program on it. I'd probably shit my pants actually.
Just thought I'd ask what you guys thought about this. Keep in mind, I realize that this is probably a pipe dream unless I import from Japan that is.
