Nintendo will never use specs that drive the cost of the system higher then 250-300 bucks. Sony and M$ do not need to update for at least another 7 years because of this. They just need casual games and people will come. also the hardcore will always stay for sonys and M$ 1st party offerings so software sales will only go up as hardware prices go down and install bases go up. Sony and M$ has lost to much money to start a new gen and software sales have not started to even make up for the loss of money both companies have taken. |

AMD are already talking about more than two terraflops of performance for their HD 58xx series chips to be launched in less than a month. I don't feel like doing the maths and showing you how many orders of magnitude the performance will likely to be in four years from now greater than the RSX and XENOS chips combined and thats within an expected 50-75W thermal allowance.
