So why would these late adopters be bothered by this gen graphics. In 3-5 years they will pick up a new system on the cheap and so on.
My bother and I were gamers all growing up but after buying an N64 at lauch he kind of fell out of the loop. He liked some of my PS2 and GC games but never bought a system. Near the end of the cycle Nintendo offered a bundle with the Gamecube system 2 controllers and Double Dash for $100. Circuit city was giving away memory cards with a system and I had a $20 off coupon. So for $80 I got him a sweet setup as a Christmas gift. He has since picked up RE4, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Smash Bros and a few others never paying more than $15 a piece.
Now he looks as the Wii, 360, and PS3 and likes it all alright but figures maybe in a few years he'll look into it.
I find it funny that anyone would say that people couldn't keep playing last gen games when they see this gen graphics. How can I play my Wii when I see a PS3? How can PS3 players keep playing when they see new PC games with the latest graphics card? I guess we will all just have to suffer through in our graphic ghetto.
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
