Fair comments and I'm glad to see a nice lack of PR speak.
Really, MS followed PC trends with Xbox and Live, putting in place a Western orientated approach that has seen huge success in US and UK with 360, luring many would be PC gamers to the 360 for a similar, cheaper entry point experience.
Sony, focused on console trends and with a different perspective was very slow to respond to this approach - or even decide they wanted to support such gamers.
PSN is indeed therefore playing catch-up, and has done a pretty decent job really, steadily closing the gap - although admittedly it's always easier to catch a clear leader by following than it is for the leader to widen the gap.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
