Why would they be mad, unless they were not aware of this BEFORE they bought the systems? You seem to be assuming that late adopters somehow don't realize they are late adopting until it's too late (and your context seems to imply people buying the systems for themselves, not as gifts for others).
Do you really think late adopters are that clueless?
