I dont think he ever beats his games... The best parts are usually near the end (heavenly word).
That's the way I usually prefer my games, gradually more impressive with some big bangs along the way and cherry on the pie at the end. Keeps my interest tuned and pushes me to go on without losing interest.
According to IGN: "story is strong and ends with closure and a cliffhanger (figure that one out)"
