I'm considering just getting the PS2 version of GT3, but I'm hoping they release an update or an adaptor that finally completely works with the old PS2 guitars so I can use it for the PS3 game (rock band as well). The PS3 version of Rock Band is the only one that has a wireless guitar so I'm going with that version there. Probably because its cheaper, has rumble, is innately wireless, and has the built in speaker (via wii-mote)....but I don't know..I guess those aren't very good reasons =P /sarcasm In any case does the PS2 version even have online play? I know the PS2 has network capabilities and all but how many people actually even use that? Seems like you could have a hard time finding folks to play on the PS2 version since there is no x-platform play. edit: PS - Does anyone else find it a bit hard to believe that they would have online multiplayer but not offline multiplayer? They are the same mode! The only differnce is where the input comes from.... |
A Cheaper? Really? That's a reason? It's $5 cheaper for the bundle (which you have to buy for the Wii because it's the first version). That's $95 versus $90. The PS2 version is $80 (wait a second...that's not cheaper than the Wii version at all...) Yeah, real cheaper...now let's compare features... B Now, which versions get downloadable songs? Yeah, not the Wii or PS2. That's the most important feature.

A. Where are you buying it? I've seen PS2 for 89.99 Wii for 89.99 PS3/360 are both 99.99 unless you own a guitar so theoretically it -is- a cheaper base entry price. If you're going to compare prices, compare simmilar model not one without the guitar to one with as this will not affect everybody. B. Wii could theoretically get downloadable songs with ease. Compression these days a song can take all of a few megs of space. ALL Wii's have memory not all PS2's do except memory card... |
I was looking at Amazon for every price listed.
Yeah, the Wii could theoretically get downloadable songs but it would be annoying with the limited space and the Wii could theoretically get rid of friend codes and have a lot more downloadable content but they haven't yet.
