They would need to make a whole new engine for the Wii. And even though it might be cheaper developing on the Wii, it's still a huge game, so it will most likely be the most expensive Wii game ever. They would need to sell at least ~1.5 million units or it will probably make a loss.

I hope they don't bring GTA on Wii.It will be bad for such a legendary franchise to sompromise on a game for greater profit..Chinatown Wars bombed on DS.

Then made a loss because of the devlopment cost of the engine that was created for GTA 4.They will easily recoup the cost with other games made on that engine.

they still had to make a profit off GTA4 though...even if the rumored 100 million budget is true the game sold over 10 million copies

I don't think their losses came from GTA4

Good to know Rockstar has a lot in store for HD owners in the next 2 years...GTA4 DLC, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire,  Agent, and maybe a GTA5 announcement at 2010/11 E3
