What you should try before anything else is to remove your HDD and see if the PS3 powers up. If it does, then your YLOD can possibly be fixed by connecting the HDD to your PC and doing a scandisk (the slow version). Or perhaps upgrade to a new HDD. You will lose your saves if the HDD is no longer readable...
