You maybe should try this:

I have never worked on PCs, so im definately not doing that..

I tried to turn it on again after waiting some 6 hours.. no luck

leo-j I know the fix on that site looks intimidating, but it truly works. My 60 gig got the YLOD a couple months ago, and after researching it I ran across that link as well and it fixed my PS3; it actually runs  a lot quieter now. He goes step by step on how to take it apart and most importantly how to put it back together. Just get your dad to help you, I'm sure you can do it!

If you send your PS3 in to Sony you'll get a refurbished one, also paying $150. Also if you want to get anything off your hard drive you need to get the PS3 it belongs to working to even access it. You can't just put it in another PS3 and get your pics, music, videos, etc off of it. Think about it like this, your PS3 is out of warranty and it's useless right now. What have you got to lose by at least trying this fix. I read that people have tried this fix and it didnt work for them and then they sent it in to Sony and they still got a refurbished one for $150.

this link is the same set of videos on youtube, but they're easier to see cause of the high quality making the video larger. Good luck!!!
