Sony forced every great feature on people and came up with a ridiculous price. Clearly that has proven to be a great strategy.

Not exactly. The problem is they didn't offer an economical option.

If the PS3 launched for $300 but lacked a hard drive, wifi, and bluray. It would have easily outsold the 360.
