If you have the 4 usb port / memory card model, and it's 80gb, then you have emulated PS2 compatibility. That's the model I have, and while I haven't tested a lot of PS2 games with it, I haven't come across any BC problems so far.
Go here and select the 80GB option to see if your games are compatible

And definitely go grab Uncharted, altogether it's a fantastic game that has very few annoying quibbles.
