/b/ is anonymous, so trying to follow people or respond to them is futile. And moderation consists only of getting rid of stuff that could have the site shut down (but they leave it up long enough for people to download it, of course).

If you want to know about the (slightly) interesting side of /b/, look at Encyclopedia Dramatica. It documents a lot of memes and collisions of /b/ with real life. Although it does have shock images everywhere, so maybe not.

I have been on encyclopedia dramatica before and While there is plenty of really funny stuff, there's also plenty of morally reprehensible stuff that makes me die a little inside.
