I wouldn't mind if MS makes you pay a one time life time $50 fee that attaches to your account, fine you know, but this is getting riddicules.. All I want is for Silver accounts to get online mp as the standard as beginners, the exta $50 fee is for gold that offers the full package (chat,isntant msg, party inv..etc) is that simple.. Now I'm more inclined in getting a PS3 slim just to play online cuz that's all I care. Free is free and is the best offer.. imo I think soon I will start playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on a Playstation and not with my wallet..

I'm the same way. I just want to connect and play. I don't make friends over the game. I'm strictly there to play. I hardly have friends who own 360's and Ps3's and the ones that do hardly play online. So I could care less for all the extra social features Live has.
