That is a horrible idea.  DO NOT get the credit card because you will likely end up fucking your credit over and probably get horrible rates on the card on top of that.

You're making one bad assumption: you're assuming people are responsible when they aren't.

True, responsible people that pay cards off right away do exist, but the person that randomly opens a card for this one time "deal" are the same kind of people that forget to make a payment and fuck themselves over.

Also, opening and closing credit cards like that do show up on your credit and can screw you over.

Again, never take that above deal.  The reason they can offer that deal (which turns out to be, what, more like $60 off which you can probably find the same or close to other places) is because they can often prey on people that just aren't responsible enough to own what they are getting themselves into.
