Sony needs to make their money back and do it fast, the PS3 will be #3 forever. Up quality games and expand into other demographs like Nintendo.
Plus they could reduce their teams that work on Sony games, Sony has some of the largest teams in all of gaming. Last gen they had crap for games. If Sony thinks they can win this gen with great graphics they are wrong.
After MGS4, FF, Killzone, GTA, and GT they have nothing. Either buy more companies, or start making more of these games like crazy.
