Does european ps3 support 110w to 240w ?

I was under the impression that they all have universal PSUs, but then someone wrote that his German PS3 won't turn on while plugged directly into Japanese circuit.

In any case a PAL 60GB is by now almost surely past warranty period so he can just open it and see what's written on the PSU itself.
