Solid: IMO, you mixing two things. First, cost of service (PSN and Live!). PSN is free and Live! Gold cost money, everyones knows that. Second, cost of concrete game. There, it only depends on developers, if they want something.

So, you can be right, if game on 360 needs Gold and some money, you can pay twice. Or three times, if you count paying your Internet Provider. But you can pay only once (Silver + game, or Gold + game free), or nothing (Silver + game free).

On PS3, there isn´t cost of service, so it´s depent on game only.

But, I cannot get your "PSN will be totally free". Aren´t on PSN some think (Qore, games, etc.), which are for money? PSN already isn´t "totally free", IMO.

by the 'totally free' i meant that its totally free to play multiplayer online.
